Shrimp and Bamboo Shoots

on

It’s important to keep some ingredients in the freezer/fridge/pantry for days when you just don’t have fresh vegetable, prepackaged bamboo shoots comes in handy and saves the day!

15-20 large shrimp (peeled)
1 prepackaged bamboo shoot
1 T ginger (minced)
1 T garlic (minced)
1 T rice wine
1 t sesame oil
a dash of salt, pepper
1 T chicken seasoning
1 T Maggi sauce

Marinate shrimp with ginger, garlic, rice wine, sesame oil, salt and pepper, let it sit for about 20 minutes. Heat up some oil in a wok, stir fry shrimp with marinate until they turn color, take them out of the wok and reserve. Stir in bamboo shoot, add chicken seasoning and Maggi sauce, stir for about 3-4 mins until hot, then add in the shrimp, stir for another 1 minute, do not over cook. I had some left over spicy pepper that was added in at the end, but it is not necessary, feel free to adjust according to your taste!
