Fried Rice

on

Hubby is the master at fried rice, but since he’s out of town and I wanted to cook something quick for tonight’s dinner, I’ve decided to recreate this dish. Little girl’s hesitant for me to blog about the secret ingredients (sugar and Maggi sauce), but I don’t think hubby would mind for you guys to enjoy!

2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 slices of ginger, minced
4 Chinese sausages, slices thinly
2-3 T of frozen green peas
4 eggs, beaten
2-3 stalks of green onions, chopped
4-5 cups of cooked rice
1/2 t salt
1T Maggi sauce
1T sugar
2 T oil

Heat up oil in wok, pour in the egg, scramble them into small pieces, remove from wok when done.
Add some oil in wok, toss in garlic and ginger, stir until fragrant, then add in Chinese sausages and green peas, stir fry for 3-4 minutes, remove and put aside
Toss in the rice and green onions, stir until evenly heated, add in the eggs, Chinese sausages and green peas, add Maggi sauce and sugar, adjust the amount to your preference, stir fry until everything’s blended evenly, I like to leave them in the wok a bit longer to harden the bottom portion of the rice, it adds a little crunchiness to the rice. Ready to be enjoyed!

Never heard of Maggi sauce. Is that the brand name or is that a type of sauce you can find at the Chinese market? Thanks!
