Stir fry Scallops

First time ever cooking scallops, so I was a bit nervous, didn’t want to overcook it, the recipe turned out ok, didn’t have as much flavor as we are used to, so I am going to modify it a bit in the soy sauce department. Also I didn’t realize scallops shrink so much once it’s…

Stir-fried Broccoli Hong Kong Style

Normally when I stir fry broccoli, it’s just minced garlic, broccoli and some chicken flavored seasoning. Today I wanted to try something a bit different, other than the sauce ingredients, I realize “SUGAR” is actually important. The result was quite good! Ingredients: 1 pound broccoli Sauce: 1/4 cup water 2 tablespoons oyster sauce 1 tablespoon…

Mom’s Cooking

Every other Sundays I bring my little girl to the Gramps to visit. Both of my sisters also bring their children for what we would like to call “Zoo Day at Grandma and GrandPa’s”. The term “Zootourage” has been invented to describe the kids. My mom would cook a feast for all of us to…
