Spicy braised spare ribs


How many ways to braise pork? I have no idea, but it certainly is one of my favorite method of cooking meat!

2lbs Pork Spare Ribs cut in 1″ x 2″ pieces
2 T Olive Oil
1/3 cup soy sauce
1  cup rice wine
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 Tablespoon chopped ginger
1 small onion, chopped
4 Tablespoons honey

Brown the spare ribs on all sides in a large pot, when ready, put all the ingredients into the pot, boil then turn down to medium low hear and simmer for around 1 hour (covered). If you prefer, open the lid and cook for another 10-15 minutes until sauce thickens and become sticky, be careful not to let it all dry out and burn (due to honey). Serve over rice, or clear noodles.
